Presentation submission (NOW OPEN)

Authors are requested to prepare a maximum 10-minute presentation of their paper. Camera-ready submission (full paper & Extended abstract ) - (COMPLETED)

The camera-ready submissions are prepared using the same full paper and extended abstract templates but now MUST include the author(s) information. The final version of the extended abstracts will be published in a book of abstracts. The final version of the full papers will be published electronically on a CD.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that proper authorisation is provided for any materials that is not their own work.

To allow for the publication of the proceedings authors need to transfer their copyrights to the publisher. The transfer agreement is handled via the Paper submission process and the conference management system (CMT).

Camera-ready submissions are due by 01 March 2010

Full paper and Extended abstract review (COMPLETED)

Papers are reviewed using the double-blind reviewing process. Contact authors are notified of the outcome of the review process and are then requested to prepare the final camera ready versions of both the full paper and the extended abstract.

Full paper  and Extended abstract submission    (CLOSED)                     due by 15 23 December 200905 Jan 2010

Authors of abstracts accepted for inclusion in the conference are asked to prepare the two documents as explained in 1) and 2) below:

1. FULL PAPER (6 pages, based on the paper template)

Full papers will be provided on the conference proceedings CD bearing an ISBN number. The paper must be submitted as an RTF or MS Word file and have a maximum length of 6 pages. No author information should be provided at this stage.

The paper must be submitted at the same time as the EXTENDED ABSTRACT (see 2 below). Submission is done online (click here for access).

2. EXTENDED ABSTRACT (2 pages, based on the extended abstract template)

EXTENDED ABSTRACTS will be included in the conference proceedings book bearing an ISBN number and published by the University of Nottingham. Each is allocated 2 pages in the proceedings. EXTENDED ABSTRACTS must have a minimum length of 750 words and a maximum of 2 pages. They should provide a meaningful summary of the paper and present a concise statement of the scope, outline of the work done, principal findings, and conclusions of the paper. Authors are encouraged to make full use of the 2 pages. No author information should be provided at this stage.

What is an extended abstract? An extended abstract is not simply a long abstract. An extended abstract should contain references, comparisons to related work, proofs of key theorems, and other details found in a full paper. Writing a good extended abstract can be more demanding than writing a research paper. The extended abstract should clearly specify the problem(s) that the research is addressing, the expected contribution(s) of the work, a brief description of the methodology adopted, results obtained, and the conclusions resulting from the work. Some things that can be omitted from an extended abstract include future work, details of proofs or implementations, and ramifications not relevant to the key ideas of the abstract.

The EXTENDED ABSTRACT must be submitted, as an RTF or MS Word file, at the same time as the FULL PAPER (see 1 above). Submission is done online (click here for access).

UPLOAD OF FILES

Once the two above files have been prepared they need to be submitted by 'uploading' them through the

"Upload submission files" link on the left.

Full Papers and Extended Abstracts are due by 15 23 December 2009

Abstract review (COMPLETED)                                                                                                    COMPLETED 15 October 2009

Abstracts are peer-reviewed and feedback is given. Paper acceptance notifications, which could be conditional, are then sent to the contact author.

Authors who have not yet received their feedback should contact the conference chair. This can only happen if emails from icccbe@nottingham.ac.uk are being filtered out (or treated as spams) by the receiving email system. Feedback can alternatively be obtained from the conference management system by selecting "Check paper progress" from the menu on the left.

Abstract submission (CLOSED)

Authors need to submit a plain text extended abstract submitted on-line (click here for access). The abstract should present a concise statement of the scope, principal findings, and conclusions of the paper and must not exceed 3000 characters. Authors should fit their contributions under one of the conference themes and should also classify them under one or more of the list of topics (see Themes and topics).

The submission should identify one contact author who is also expected to be the author to register to attend the conference and present the paper.                                                                                  Abstracts are requested by 15 September 2009.
